Design consultancy Creative Eye were asked to create an impressive and welcoming reception space for the UK headquarters of Michelin. Envisage were appointed to provide the fit-out service and worked closely with designer Noel Bennett to ensure that the client’s high expectations were met.
The Deliverables
The area acts as the arrival point for both staff and visitors as well as a circulation space between the entrance atrium, staff restaurant and the offices.
The Experience
Individual panels are made up of block colours, graphic panels and video screens that provide visual interest and information to their visitors. These are interspaced by display cases that contain licensed products such as automotive accessories, collectibles and equipment for work, sport and leisure that promote Michelin’s heritage and culture.
Our Response
The design uses a circular motif reminiscent of their product, with curved walls forming a break-out meeting and waiting area. The walls combine the familiar blue and yellow of the Michelin brand with brushed aluminium and glass to create a modern and welcoming look.
