The Brief
The Kitchen, Bedroom, and Bathroom Show (KBB) is an industry highlight, showcasing the best of design across all three business sectors. The event takes place at Birmingham’s NEC and attracts over 14,600 visitors, with exhibiting brands from over 100 countries.
Working closely with ISI Global, our retail design agency partner, we were asked if we would like to collaborate on a project for the appliance giant, Zanussi.
Zanussi had for some time seen the potential in exhibiting at KBB and were already in design talks with ISI Global on how their stand should look. The next step was to engage with Envisage Associates so we could make their concept come to life!

The Deliverables
The Zanussi product range is quite unique as it covers a huge range of ‘white goods’, and electricals – everything from washing machines, cookers, electric hobs, microwaves, fridges, and tumble dryers all needed to be showcased on their stand space to celebrate the Zanussi brand and what it could offer the consumer.
Stand deliverables were high-level branding, to position themselves well in the exhibition hall. A good use of the Zanussi brand colours throughout the space. A small open plan meeting room to engage with potential customers. Raised product plinths so visitors could see their product elevated. A mock kitchen and island space to show their products in situ. Finally, illuminated branding throughout for that wow factor.
The Experience
This was the first time Zanussi had attended ‘KBB’, so it was imperative that the ISI design concept and the whole experience was perfect.
ISI Global were also new to the exhibition scene, so we found ourselves in a unique position where we had to guide both agency and end-user through the rules and regulations of the exhibition world.
Taking the lead with ISI Global we were able to share our vast knowledge and years of experience on build regulations, organiser liaison and communication, site services and even logistics, which in turn made the Zanussi experience a better one.
Our Response
With a global pandemic just around the corner, attendance figures for KBB in March 2020 were, unfortunately, lower than expected. For those who did manage to attend the show was still a huge success and brought together over 400 exhibitors from all business sectors in the world of kitchens, bedrooms, and bathrooms.
Predicted sales figures for Zanussi were surpassed and with that, talks of attending the show in the future were already on the cards.
Finally, the stress-free organisation and collaboration from ISI Global and Envisage following KBB lead to further opportunities with Zanussi which we have all been working on since the show.
